At Simply Dental we’re taking the coronavirus outbreak seriously and doing our part to prevent its spread. Here’s how:

In-house

Clinically – We have universal precautions in place (standard cross infection protocols) to manage any and all microbes in our dental surgeries.  These are in place year round, so you won’t likely notice any changes clinically, but rest assured we’re doing everything possible to maintain a clean, hygienic environment in our surgeries.

Offices – In all non-clinical zones we have implemented strict hygiene measures (in addition to the standard cleaning protocols) including removing all non-essential items e.g. magazines and toys, regular wiping of door handles and other hard surfaces (including all pens, phones etc) after each use or change over to another person.

Our team – We have asked team members to stay at home if they have any symptoms that are common with Covid-19 and are keeping teams consistent to minimise contact across the team as much as possible.

Our patients

We’re advising patients to follow WHO protective measures to keep themselves and others safe. These include:

Keeping hands clean – Wash hands frequently throughout the day with an alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

Social distancing – Maintain at least 1 metre distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

Practicing respiratory hygiene – This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze, then dispose of the used tissue immediately.

Self isolate, then seek medical attention if you have symptoms – The symptoms of COVID-19 are coughing, high temperature (at least 38°C) and shortness of breath. If you have any of these symptoms, seek medical care quickly, calling your health provider in advance for guidance.
